Leh town in Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir is fast emerging as a MICE destination. Nestled at an altitude of 11,562 ft, it is 434 kilometres away from Srinagar via NH1 and 474 kilometres from Manali (Himachal Pradesh) via Leh-Manali Highway. The only airport (Kushok Bakula Rimpoche Airport) for commercial operations of Ladakh region is in Leh and is situated at a distance of 2.4 kilometres from the town. With the coming of Himalayan Club to be built along the modern lines, Leh is making a giant leap towards MICE tourism. The after-event activities in Leh, also called the Mecca of adventure enthusiasts, include trekking, sightseeing of valleys and the picturesque lakes.
