This resort town located at an altitude of 6726 ft is a go-to vacation destination for the tourists when visiting India’s northern state, Himachal Pradesh. By road from Delhi, you can reach Manali via NH1, NH22 and NH21. In addition to the state-owned buses, other buses – including luxury ones – also ply to Manali. Buses from other routes such as Pathankot, Chandigarh and Jammu add to Manali’s connectivity. The closest-to-Manali railway station is at Jogindar Nagar, about 170 kilometres away. It is a narrow gauge railhead. The nearest broad gauge railhead is at Una, 250 kilometres away.
